General Healthcare System (GHS) Contribution Rates

The contribution rates for the General Healthcare System (GHS, commonly known as Gesy) have changed as from 1st of June 2020 as per below table:



Contributor Categories As of 01.06.2020 Onwards Explanation

1.Employees
(Public and Private Sector) 2,65% On their salaries

2.Employer (Including
the Republic as an Employer) 2,90% On the salaries of every person employed by them

3.The Republic 4,70% On the salaries of the employees, the remuneration of
the self-employed and officials and on pensions
4.Self-employed 4,00% On their remuneration

5.Pensioners 2,65% On their pension



For the Income Earners, the new contribution rate 2,65% will come into effect as from 01st of July 2020.
